Patrick combines his practical know-how with IFMA’s key principles from their FMP manuals in order to prepare you to pass your FMP final assessments. His wisdom and insights will give you a deeper understanding and practical examples to draw from.
Important terms and critical concepts are highlighted in targeted study guides that allow you to review your knowledge before taking your FMP final Exam.
Specific quizzes are also available to ensure you have a good understanding of the key concepts and give you practice prior to taking your FMP final assessments.

As a Facility Manager with over 32 years of industry experience and knowledge, Patrick Okamura has led several large organizations, such as Motorola, General Dynamics, and CBRE, to achieve increased levels of efficiency in their facilities operations.
In 2005, Patrick certified the largest LEED for Existing Buildings (EB) industrial facility in the United States, which was noted for its energy cost savings and reduction in water usage. He was nominated and received an IFMA Fellow in 2010 for his outstanding achievements and dedication to the FM field.
Patrick also served as the President of the Greater Phoenix Chapter of IFMA, the President’s Group, founding member of the Facility Management Research Institute, and is currently the President of the Central Arizona Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. Additionally, Patrick was a member of the IFMA committee that developed the materials for the Credentialing Programs. He is an IFMA Certified Instructor for the FMP, SFP, and CFM, one of few active in the Southwestern USA. He also teaches courses as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Arizona State University.
